On Saturday 14 February, Dots hosts a night rooted in underground house culture, bringing together two record labels with a shared focus on the dance floor.
Headlining is Laidlaw, co-founder of Beeyou and a key figure in shaping the UK’s contemporary underground movement. Based in London, Laidlaw is known for a sound that blends house and garage with spaced-out funk, built around atmosphere, momentum and long-form progression. Through Beeyou, he has helped develop a movement centred on immersive dance floors and high-energy environments, with events that have played a significant role in redefining how people experience club music in the UK.
Joining him is Asvajit, founder of Jambutek and a long-standing presence in Sri Lanka’s electronic music landscape. His approach is grounded in the dance floor, bringing local perspective and energy that complements Beeyou’s sound and ethos.
Together, this night marks the coming together of two labels from different parts of the world, connected by a shared philosophy: music built for the dance floor, focused rooms, and extended journeys that unfold from start to finish.
