On Tuesday 3rd March, we welcome Sunara for a special night at Dots.
A long-standing force in Sri Lanka’s underground, Sunara has been shaping dance floors since 2011 with a sound that moves between atmospheric minimal techno, brooding textures and subtle UKG influences. What began in eclectic hip-hop, jazz and funk-infused glitchy beats has evolved into a nuanced, groove-led approach that is both introspective and deeply physical.
Sunara’s sets are patient and intentional — textured, immersive and built for those who truly listen. She has performed across Sri Lanka, Berlin, Norway, the UK, India and Pakistan, with notable appearances at Boiler Room Sri Lanka, Mixmag Asia x Jambutek, Pettah Interchange and SNAFU Project. Alongside her musical work, she is also a visual and hand poke tattoo artist, bringing the same attention to detail and individuality into everything she creates.
The night begins with our traditional Dots Open Mic, hosted by Shivy — a core part of the Dots family and a pillar of Sri Lanka’s live music culture.
Built on inclusivity, encouragement and real connection, the open mic creates space for collaboration and expression before the dance floor takes over.
An intimate Tuesday. Deep selections. Real moments.
Come early, stay late.
